How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select your dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Spacious 2BR\/2BA Golf Villa that sleeps 8 at Famous Legends Golf Course has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
