Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Snowbirds Welcome! Come spend the winter at Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
