Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Ocean Dunes Villas Coastal Escape Unit TH7 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
