Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. The Palace 505 ocean view condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
