Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectvacation home:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Travel the World by the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
