- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best rental in Myrtle Beach:

- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Your Dream Chic Oceanview Suite at Bluewater! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
