Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Beach Bum Suite with Stunning View 9th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
