Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental home experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Booking in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Blissful Oceanfront 15th Floor 3 Bdrm Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
