How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- Choose vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Gleaming Oceanfront 3 BR Condo 14th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
