Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to select the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. High Floor,Amazing Views,Camelot By The Sea,Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
