How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. High Floor,Amazing Views,Camelot By The Sea,Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
