How to book the best vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Honeymoon Suite,Direct Oceanfront View,Heated Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
