Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Low Floor,Amazing Oceanfront Views,Luxurious Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
