Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the perfect rental home:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Divine Vacay at 1BR Oceanview Suite! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
During your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
