Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Serenity by the Sea: 3 BR OF Condo 9th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
