Rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking yourrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 1003 Brighton, fully remodeled and access to resort amenities has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
During your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
