Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

Getting the best value:

  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Sunset View 3rd Floor Oceanfront Comfort 1 Bedroom has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
