Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Choosing the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 10th floor 2BR\/2BA condo @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
