Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 12th-floor ocean-view snowbird-friendly condo with pool, hot tub, & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
