Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 1309 Ocean Lakes Pet Friendly Golf Cart????????????????????????? has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
