Tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 1br Deluxe Condo on Shores of Myrtle Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
