Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 1br Deluxe Condo on Shores of Myrtle Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
