How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 2 Bedroom Condo at Bovardia Place in the heart of Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
