Getting the best rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 2 Bedroom with optional 3rd Bedroom has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.

- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
