Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the largest rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 2 Minutes From the Beach! Outdoor Pool, waterside has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
