Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 6th-floor studio with pool, hot tub, & AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
