How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 3 Rd Floor End Unit Ocean View 1BR\/1BA has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
