How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Direct Pool View LRG End Unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
