Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the best rental home:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Direct Pool View LRG End Unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is best for your family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
