Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself.
