What to Expect During the Renovation: Minimizing Disruptions
We understand the importance of a calming, fun stay for our guests, even as we make these improvements. That’s why our resort will remain open throughout the renovation period. Renovations will begin in early October and are expected to finish by the end of March. We’re working floor by floor in both the Dominican and Cayman buildings, ensuring the least amount of disruption.
Here’s what you can expect during this time:
Construction will only take place during normal business hours, and any noise will be kept to a minimum.
Common areas such as the lobby, exercise center, and game room may be temporarily closed, but we’re doing everything we can to offer alternative amenities when possible.
We aim to keep your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible while we work to make it even better!

Rental booking tips and tricks:
Finding the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Spacious Ocean View Elegance 3 Bdrm Condo 12th Flr has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If not, email the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
