Finding the best rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To find the largest rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group select a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 3BR\/3BA- 4th Floor-Oceanfront-New LVT Floors!-Just Redecorated!-Great Rates! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
