Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First and foremost, have your family select dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 3A Windermere by the Sea - access to all amenities! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
