Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 3rd Floor Angle Oceanfront One Bedroom Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
