Strategies for getting the perfect rental home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 3rd Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ Pool\/Hot Tub, AC, WiFi has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
