Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.
