Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 3rd Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ Shared Hot Tub\/Pool, AC, WiFi has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
