Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 10th-floor oceanfront studio with pool, hot tub, AC, & WiFi - snowbirds welcome has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
