How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 5th Floor Angle Oceanfront One Bedroom Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
