Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the rightrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beachside Delight: Spacious Suite 10th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
