Strategies to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. 5th-floor ocean-view studio with AC, pool, hot tub & WiFi - dog-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Know before you go:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
