How to find the best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 5th-floor studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.

- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
