Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 6th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ WiFi, Shared Pool\/Hot Tub, AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
