Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Sea Watch - S 702 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
