Strategies to get the best rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Lakes Site 1756 - 2BR\/2BA in Relaxing Canal Setting has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
