Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- To get the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your family commit to trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 8th-floor ocean-view studio with AC, pool, hot tub & gym - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Know before you go:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
