Vacation rental booking tips:
Get the best value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. A SLICE OF PARADISE! - Direct Oceanfront condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
