Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect vacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 8th-floor studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
