How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 9th Floor 2-Bedroom Retreat with Beachfront Beauty has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
During your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
