Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. AMAZING VIEWS! Sands Beach Club Direct Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Additional considerations:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
