Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing the rightvacation home:
- To start, have your family agree to date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. AMAZING VIEWS! Sands Beach Club Direct Oceanfront has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
