Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding the best value:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • First, have your family choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Amazing waterfront views! AAA Four Diamond Resort, by Luxury Beach Rentals has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Additional considerations:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
