Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best rental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Anchors Away - Sands Oceanfront Luxury Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
During your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
