Getting the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Seaside Serenity Oceanfront King Ste 9th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
